The breakthrough wasn't speed — it was granularity. Split the work task by task, output by output, and a risk and a timeline appear at every step, early enough to plan for.
What changed on the day. At first the Process crew mapped in big blocks and skipped past the outputs. Nothing looked wrong — but the hand-offs, the simultaneous tasks and the step-level risks stayed invisible. Once they forced themselves to one task → one output per line, two things surfaced on their own: the cheque could run alongside the ANPP retrieval (friction removed), and each little step exposed its own failure point before it could bite. That is now the rule for the team: de-chunk first, then map.
